Our vision is to enable a #Family4EveryChild. Our mission is to ensure that all eligible abandoned, orphaned, and surrendered children across India are accounted for and reach a positive outcome in the child’s best interest (including the legal adoption pool).
WAIC (Where Are India’s Children) is working to ensure every eligible child in Child Care Institutions reaches the legal adoption pool and potentially reaches a forever family. WAIC’s flagship project is technology-enabled fieldwork.
Role :
We seek a Social Media Intern to oversee our organization’s presence on many public platforms. You should be able to create gripping content, analyse public feedback and report on the effects of each key undertaking. As an intern, you will work closely with the Branding and Communications manager, who will provide you with daily tasks and hands-on projects using social media platforms to promote and manage the WAIC brand image.
Responsibilities :
1. Content Creation and Execution
2. Managing the Organization’s social media accounts and posts/content.
3. Monitor various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
4. Assist in the brand’s growth by raising awareness through various social media platforms.
5. Writing clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
6. Driving the creation of original concepts that result in effective and compelling communication.
7. Maintaining a clear and consistent voice.
8. Brainstorms campaign ideas.
9. Plan and expedite campaigns.
10. Assisting in understanding analytics to gauge the success of campaigns.
11. Engaging with the audience on all social media channels.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media, Communications, Journalism, Public relations or related field
2. Freshers with/without 6 months – 1-year experience in social media
3. Exposure to the Social Sector is preferable
4. Creative thinking is a must
5. Research skills
6. In sync with social media and digital marketing trends.
7. Proficient with design software like Adobe Creative and Canva.
8. Eye for clean and trendy design.
9. Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills. In-depth knowledge of all leading social media platforms and their algorithms.
